When should my FlexGig close to new proposals?

Set the Accept Proposals Until date to the last day you'd like to receive proposals. After that date, your gig shows as Closed so freelancers know not to apply.

  • One-time project: Pick a date that leaves time to review proposals, choose a freelancer, and still meet your work deadline. For most gigs, 5 to 10 days is plenty.
  • Ongoing or as-needed work: Leave it blank. Your gig stays open until you award it.
  • Rush work: Choose a date 1 to 3 days out so you get proposals quickly.

If you have a deadline for the finished work, include it in your description so freelancers can factor it into their quote.
