Confidentiality and data security are foundational to Lawfecta. The platform is built specifically for legal work, with the understanding that attorneys must protect client information, privileged materials, and sensitive firm data at all times.

Lawfecta is designed to support secure, attorney-controlled delegation—not to introduce new risk.

When you engage a freelancer or agency through Lawfecta:

  • Providers are expected to comply with your firm’s confidentiality requirements, including NDAs and engagement agreements

  • You control what information is shared, when it is shared, and how access is granted

  • Providers work within your existing systems, tools, and security protocols, not Lawfecta’s

  • You set supervision, access levels, and approval processes consistent with your professional obligations

Lawfecta does not take custody of client files, manage documents, or access your case data. The platform’s role is limited to helping you find and communicate with qualified providers.

Why is this approach valuable?

Attorneys are rightly cautious about outsourcing because loss of control creates risk. Lawfecta’s model is intentionally designed to preserve your control, so confidentiality and security remain governed by the same policies you already rely on for staff, contractors, and vendors.

This allows you to:

  • Delegate work without compromising client confidentiality

  • Apply your existing compliance and security standards consistently

  • Scale support while maintaining ethical safeguards

  • Choose providers who are accustomed to working under legal confidentiality obligations

How does this work in practice?

Once you select a provider, the working relationship exists directly between you and that independent professional or agency. Any confidentiality, data protection, or access terms are defined by your agreements and policies, not by the platform.

You remain responsible for:

  • Determining what work may be delegated

  • Supervising legal work as required

  • Ensuring compliance with jurisdictional, ethical, and professional rules

Lawfecta supports this process by connecting you with providers who understand legal confidentiality—but it does not replace attorney judgment or oversight.
